POS Paper Roll Measuring Standards
Universally, there isn’t really a standard among point of sale supply companies and manufacturers for how paper should be measured and labeled. Since the terminals are often built in one country, assembled in another, and then sold globally, we often see metric units displayed in manuals and on product lists. Since they are produced globally, you’ll notice that we sometimes use millimeters and inches interchangeably when listing or discussing our paper rolls.
Understanding that not everyone knows these conversions, we wanted to share a cheat sheet that you can easily reference when ordering your POS paper rolls:
