Q: Can a Brother PocketJet print on plain 8 1/2" paper?

A: No, the Brother PocketJet is a thermal printer, so it requires thermal paper. No ink or ribbons are needed in thermal printers.

Q: What’s the difference between perforated rolls and continuous rolls for Brother PocketJet printers?

A: Perforated rolls for Brother PocketJet printers have a black sense mark, which tells the printer to stop printing at the 8.5" x 11" size. They also have perforations at the end so you can easily tear off your page. Continuous rolls are not perforated, and have no sense mark, so you can tear them at whatever size length you want (the edge will not be as clean as a perforated roll.)
