Hands-On at Bixolon with Thermal Printers

The details around the next-generation Bixolon SRP-330II are that it is going to replace and be an upgrade to the SRP-330. The printer itself is a 3 ⅛” thermal receipt printers, but some of the upgrades include dual or triple interface models with options of USB & Serial, USB & SD, USB & Parallel or USB, Ethernet & Serial. It boasts print speeds of 8.6 inch/220 mm per second and has a print resolution of up to 203 dpi. All of this packed into a desktop unit that weighs about 3 lbs.

Beyond the printing & networking features, it also has an anti-jam guide, an auto receipt cutter, end of paper sensors and an easy-open, drop in load for paper.

Through our conversations, I could tell the focus of Bixolon is to deliver the best combination of speed, reliability and cost effectiveness with the SRP-330II.

Bixolon, is coming off launching two additional thermal label printers: the 2" SLP-TX220 and 4" SLP-DL410 this year and it doesn’t look like they’re slowing down.

The SLP-TX220 has print speed of 6 inch/152 mm per second and resolution of 203 or 300 dpi. SLP-DL410 has print speed of 5 inch/127 mm per second and resolution of 203 or 300 dpi. Both have features such as Smart Media Detection, Smart Bluetooth Auto Switch, Apple MFi Certification, and Bixolon Label Artist.

The new Bixolon SRP-330II thermal printer as well as the SLP-TX220 & LP-DL410 label printers are now listed in our easy to use Bixolon Printer Paper Roll & Ribbon Supplies Finder.
