Sensor chirps when it detects magnetic ink
Legal bills are printed with authenticating magnetic ink on specific areas. Press the side buttons to activate the Magnetic Ink Sensor, and the device chirps when it detects magnetic ink.
Use the UV light to check credit cards, traveler’s checks, and other legal documents
All major credit cards have letters or an image printed on the front of the card in UV ink for security – as with traveler’s checks, driver’s licenses, passports, and other legal documents.
UV Light locates security stripes in US bills
Push the top button to turn on the blue UV light and locate the security stripe that can be found on most bills. Each stripe is coated with a special UV ink that turns a different color when subjected to UV light:
$100 – Red
$50 – Yellow
$20 – Green
$10 – Orange
$5 - Blue
