ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) Clean and Treatment Waffletechnology Card Reader Cleaning Cards
Waffletechnology (patent pending) ESD Clean and Treatment Cards were developed in cooperation with NCR as a means of eliminating electrostatic discharge plaguing the Credit/Debit card industry. The effectiveness of the cards was tested independently under conditions that would normally be conducive to the build up of the ESD phenomenon. The results showed a remarkable absence of ESD build-up over a period of one month. NCR has approved and recommended the use of this product to maintain their Card Readers installed in many integrated POS terminals worldwide.
Cleaning Step 1 uses the patent pending Waffletechnology to remove any dirt and debris that is built up within the reader. ESD is creates natural dust attraction as commonly demonstrated on television screens. The dust and debris must be removed prior to using the Treatment card. On subsequent uses of the product it is important to remove the original treatment solution from the read heads along with the normal dust build-up. This insures that the treatment solution itself does not accumulate on the read heads over proper cleaning cycles.
Cleaning Step 2 uses the patent pending Waffletechnology to eliminate any current build up of ESD within your reader. The proprietary ESD Magic Solution also creates a barrier within the reader so that future card swipes or inserts do not begin the process of building up ESD. This barrier and the introduction of normal dust and oil particles, typical during any credit card transaction, eventually creates the need to once again clean and treat your card reader. The recommendation is once per month per reader to insure the best preventive maintenance for your card reader and the flow of your transactions.
Recommended Usage: Once per week for internal or low use readers and once per day for external or high use readers.
Usage Directions:
STEP 1 Cleaning Card Use First:
1) Swipe or insert cleaning card into card reader.
2) Remove and discard.
3) Repeat if necessary.
STEP 2 Treatment Card Use Second:
1) Swipe or insert treatment card into card reader.
2) Remove and discard.
